Chia Seeds in Skincare

Chia Seeds in Avon's Nutraeffects

What is a Chia Seed?

Chia seeds come from an annual plant that produces white or purple flowers, and they contain Omega 3 fatty acids and antioxidants,  A chia seed also is able to absorb up to 12 times its weight in water.  This gives it the ability to hydrate the skin.

Nutraeffects Formulas

The chia seed is the key ingredient in Avon's newest skin care regimen, Nutraeffects.  The four formulas are:
  1. Hydration.  For normal to dry skin, the Hydration formula will improve the appearance of dry skin in one week and provides mosturization for up to 48 hours.
  2. Balance.  For oily/combination skin, the Balance formula will reduce the appearance of pores in one week and hydrates the skin so it will look and feel balanced.
  3. Radiance.  For dullness and uneven skin tones, the Radiance formula will lessen the discoloration on the skin in two weeks.  The skin will appear more radiant and the skin tone will be more even.
  4. Ageless.  For early signs of aging, the Radiance formula will restore the skin's appearance to a more youthful look in two weeks.  Wrinkles around the face and eyes will appear softer.
All four skin care formulas are suitable for sensitive skin, are hypoallergenic, free of dyes, gluten-free and are dermatologist tested.  Each formula is available in both a day cream and night cream.  The Ageless formula also comes in an eye cream.
